BB Botanics

Who we are

BB Botanics is a certified social enterprise and registered charity, operating as a sister business to The Beautiful Bunch, a Melbourne floristry social enterprise. Both businesses operate under the same social mission: providing paid training and employment opportunities to young women from refugee and migrant backgrounds who face significant barriers to entering the Australian workforce. BB Botanics extends this mission into the horticulture and commercial plant care sector.

We are built on the belief that every work environment is made better with nature. Clients who partner with us are not only improving their space; their investment directly supports our employment and training program. As a certified social enterprise and registered charity, purchases from BB Botanics can also count toward an organisation's social procurement targets and ESG commitments. Social procurement refers to the practice of using purchasing decisions to generate positive social outcomes alongside commercial value. ESG stands for environmental, social, and governance, a framework that organisations use to assess their broader impact.

What we do

We offer commercial indoor plant hire and maintenance services to businesses across Melbourne. Our work is carried out by qualified horticulturalists and trainees drawn from our social impact training program.

Our services include:

  • Plant hire: access to a range of indoor plant species and sizes, with ongoing expert care included
  • Plant maintenance: scheduled visits to water, repot, prune, fertilise, stake, and care for existing plants in a client's space
  • Plant design and sourcing: consultation to select the right species, sizes, and pots for a workspace, with plants sourced from local suppliers
  • One-off jobs: repotting, plant assessments, and other discrete tasks for businesses that need occasional rather than ongoing support

We use sustainable plant care practices, including organic fertilisers and water-saving techniques, and source plants and materials locally where possible. Maintenance schedules are developed in consultation with each client to suit the specific needs of their space and plant collection. Our services are available to businesses of all sizes, from small studios to large commercial sites.
